It’s Like The Air is Heavier

The thought of going to work feels overwhelming, but you know you have to. The whole drive there, you feel like you’re on autopilot, not really present in the moment. When you arrive, you sit at your desk, staring at the screen, trying to focus, but your mind is racing with negative thoughts. You feel like you’re not good enough, like you’re never going to succeed, like no one cares about you.

When you come home, you don’t have the energy to do anything. You know you should eat, but you don’t feel hungry. You don’t want to watch TV or read a book or do anything you used to enjoy. You feel isolated and alone, like no one can understand what you’re going through. The thought of going to bed and doing it all again tomorrow fills you with dread. You wonder if this is all there is to life.

Depression Doesn't Discriminate

Depression is a widespread condition that affects millions of people globally. It’s a condition that does not discriminate, as it can affect individuals of all ages, genders, and races.

Living with depression can be a challenging experience, and many people feel alone and isolated in their struggles. It’s essential to recognize that you are not alone in your experience, and seeking help is the first step toward healing.

Depression can present in various ways, and the symptoms can range from mild to severe. Symptoms may include feelings of sadness, hopelessness, or despair, changes in appetite or sleep patterns, lack of energy, loss of interest in activities that were once enjoyable, difficulty concentrating, and even thoughts of suicide.

It’s important to remember that depression is a treatable condition, and there is hope for recovery.

Therapy for Depression Can Help

Depression can feel overwhelming and insurmountable, but it’s important to remember that you don’t have to face it alone. Therapy can provide a safe and supportive space for you to explore the root causes of your depression and develop tools to manage your symptoms.

A therapist can help you identify negative thought patterns and behaviors that may be contributing to your depression and work with you to create a more positive and hopeful outlook. By addressing these underlying issues, therapy can help you break the cycle of depression and find a sense of control and empowerment in your life.

It’s important to understand that therapy is not a quick fix, and it may take time to see progress. However, by committing to the process and working with a trained professional, you can develop the skills and resilience needed to overcome depression and lead a fulfilling life.

Therapy can also provide a space for you to feel heard and validated, which can be a powerful antidote to the isolation and shame often associated with depression. By building a supportive relationship with your therapist and engaging in the therapeutic process, you can discover new possibilities for healing and growth.

You May Still Have Questions About Online Depression Counseling...

What is an Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Associate?

An LPC Associate is a licensed professional counselor who has completed a master’s degree in counseling or a related field and is in the process of completing their post-graduate supervised clinical hours.

They have passed their licensing exam and are working under the supervision of an LPC Supervisor to gain the clinical experience required for full licensure. LPC Associates provide counseling services to clients under the guidance and supervision of their supervisor and are committed to providing high-quality care to their clients.

How Does Online Depression Therapy Work?

Online depression therapy works similarly to traditional in-person therapy, but sessions are conducted over the internet via video conferencing software or phone calls. Clients can access therapy from the comfort of their own homes or wherever they have an internet connection. The therapist and client work together to identify the root causes of the depression and develop coping mechanisms and strategies to manage symptoms.

Our therapists may use evidence-based treatments such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) to help you process your emotions, challenge negative thought patterns, and improve your relationships.

Online therapy provides a convenient and flexible way to access treatment for depression, and research has shown that it can be just as effective as traditional in-person therapy.

How Long Does Depression Treatment Take?

We understand that you may be concerned about the duration of depression therapy and whether it will be effective for you. It’s important to know that each person’s journey is unique, and there is no set timeline for therapy.

Some people see improvements in their symptoms within a few months, while others may need more time. The most crucial thing to remember is that therapy is a process, and healing takes time.

Your therapist will work closely with you to establish goals and regularly assess your progress. They will provide support and guidance throughout the journey, adjusting the approach as needed. The goal is to provide effective treatment for as long as necessary to help you overcome depression and regain a fulfilling life.

You don’t have to be in therapy forever, and there is hope for positive change. Together, we will work towards your well-being and support you every step of the way.

How Much Does Depression Counseling Cost?

We charge $150 for 50-minute sessions and $225 for 90-minute sessions. Your therapist will discuss with you the appropriate duration and frequency of sessions. Most clients meet weekly for 50-minute sessions until their goals are met. Our therapists do have limited availability for reduced-rate sessions. Please contact us for more information.

Do You Take My Insurance?

While we do not accept insurance, some clients may be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement, and we are happy to provide you with the necessary documentation to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

While the cost of therapy may be a concern for you, it is important to remember that investing in yourself through therapy can have long-term benefits that far outweigh the cost. We work with our clients to find a schedule and payment plan that works for them so that therapy can be accessible and effective for all who seek it.

What If My Therapist is Not a Good Fit?

We understand that finding the right approach and therapist for your needs can take time. If you are not comfortable with your therapist’s approach, we encourage you to talk to them about it. It is important to have an open and honest dialogue with your therapist to ensure that you are both on the same page and working towards your goals as a couple.

If after discussing your concerns, you still feel that the approach is not working for you, we can explore other options, such as referring you to another therapist within our practice who may have a different approach or referring you to another practice altogether. Our ultimate goal is to provide you with the best possible care and to help you achieve your goals.
